Does 30 seconds really make that much of a difference

Aloysius Lilius, smart or not, genius or fool, filled with wisdom or rather oozing with stupidity? It is universally agreed upon that he was a high thinker of the Gregorian Times. The Italian physician and inventor of the Gregorian Calendar, in which has lasted the test of time.
Time.
Time is bolted down to ticking hands, it screams out to tell the world when to move. We know this as 60 seconds per minute and 60 minutes an hour for 24 hours. But what if it was instead 90 seconds and 90 minutes? How would the world function? How would humans change or adapt?

For starters, this scenario constraints that it has always been 90 minutes and seconds, but that hasn’t affected previous historical events. I want to strictly discuss effects in the modern stage. The day is now 2.25 times longer than the previous 60-second system. There would be 54 60-second hours inside our new system. With that being said would school hours still roughly be 8-3? The 7 hour day would in actually be 15.75 hours long. The sleep cycle would also have to be questioned. Would we still follow the same schedule or would we sleep 8 60-second hours leaving lots of time in the morning and evening for who knows what? The sun would set and rise at varying times of the day because of our new schedule and sundials would not work, or at least the same. Similarly to telling time through sundials, the common watch would have to be reworked to fit a 90 second and minute rotation. Speed limits would as well seeing that a regular sign saying 60 mph would be moving 26.7 miles per current hour. Similarly, race times would be faster. Whether thats a NASCAR race, cross country or track meet, or even a Minecraft speedrun. For example, on a 60-second system a cross country runner runs an 18:30 5k. In the 90-second system their time would be a 12:30.

The solution to these issues would be simple. We would adapt to fit our natural sleep schedule. Naturally this 90-second system would not come to fruition as we would follow the cycle of the sun in hunter gathering days. This instinct would surface in modern society if we still confided to the guidelines established in the first section. This would overtime switch us to a 60-second system solving our main problems. To conclude, if a 90-second system was used in modern day society lots of things would change and life would be pretty exhausting. But, society would eventually adapt to a 60-second system.
